Andrew Byer

Andrew Byer, Attorney, was born to an Italian immigrant mother in 1962 in Jersey City, New Jersey. From a young age, this influence imbued him with a deep appreciation for diverse cultures. Splitting time between the U.S. and Italy throughout his childhood, Andrew was exposed to a blend of cultural insights that would later influence his legal career. He pursued his higher education at Columbia University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1984, which included a meaningful study abroad experience in France, further broadening his international perspective. After earning his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 1987, Andrew began his legal practice in South Florida. He initially worked as a Lease Administrator and Legal Counsel at Miracle Marketplace in Coral Gables, where he managed complex lease negotiations and tenant relationships, skills that would prove foundational in his legal career. Andrew’s professional focus shifted toward international business in 1990 when he became the Director of Operations for Maria Pia, an Italian shoe manufacturer looking to close its U.S. operations. His fluency in Italian and adeptness with international business law were pivotal in managing this complex closure. He expanded his expertise in global markets from 1991 to 1994 as General Counsel and Director of International Sales at Intracorp, Inc. He negotiated key licensing agreements with Hollywood studios for video game adaptations in this software company, greatly enhancing the company's international footprint. In 1994, Andrew founded his legal firm, the Law Offices of Andrew Byer, specializing in helping European companies establish and expand their presence in the U.S. market. His firm became noted for its strategic legal advice and business insights, supported by his multilingual skills and profound understanding of cross-border transactions. Driven by his passion for high-fidelity audio, Andrew launched Magnum Opus Audio in 2007, a boutique in Fort Lauderdale specializing in luxury audio and home theater equipment. As the market evolved, Andrew transitioned into real estate, founding AJ&J Holdings, LLC, and in 2024, creating Bozhlona, Inc., a property management firm. Beyond his business endeavors, Andrew is deeply committed to philanthropy, particularly in animal welfare and community service. Today, Andrew Byer continues to leverage his extensive legal and business expertise in his real estate ventures, actively contributing to his community and significantly impacting various fields.
