Carter Zhang

I am Carter Zhang - a senior high school student living in China. Certainly, you can call me Lovely. I am fond of Information Technology, and I am a supporter of free software. I love free software, therefore I have Firefox, GIMP, Kdenlive, VLC, etc. installed on my computer. Even the cover picture and background of my webpage, are both from a free and open source webcomic named Pepper & Carrot under a Creative Commons free culture license. What's more, I use Debian instead of Windows, just for it's free software, as in freedom. I am a free software lover, believing in the GNU philosophy. Being different from most people that use nonfree software, I get my life enriched by free software, getting a freedom-respecting digital life. It's proprietary software that doesn't respect users' freedom and community, and put its developers' power over the users. Proprietary software developers are all thoroughly monsters. If there had not been proprietary software, the world we live would be wonderland.
