From rural hospitals in South Africa to remote Australian communities, the call to serve has always been greater than the comfort of staying still. With a history of various chapters and transitions - inevitably at some stage- I will widen my horizons beyond full-time medicine. In the same spirit carrying forward—through writing, public speaking, and new forms of engagement with the world we live in——— Why I Started this blog?——— Many years ago, I found myself sitting on the edge of a hospital bed in rural South Africa, listening to a patient who had walked for miles just to be seen. He wasn’t just battling illness; he was battling a system that had almost given up on him. As I left that day, I kept thinking: How many stories like his are lost in the noise? How many struggles remain unseen?——— That moment stuck with me.
