Simon Merrick

Simon is a Senior SRE experienced in building and securing cloud native software and infrastructure in the Payments Industry. His passion is the intersection of technological and interpersonal challenges of getting code from commit to production, safely, securely and on demand - especially in regulated sectors such as Payments. Simon serves as Secretary on the Committee of Python New Zealand and is part of the Kiwi PyCon core team in 2024 and 2025.
